a visit from old friends

i was SO thrilled to get to visit with one of my dear friends from huntsville last week. denise and i arranged a little play date last wednesday morning. last minute, we were able to eat dinner the night before with husbands as well. what a fun time! here's a picture of our six kids: sam and virginia are about 2 weeks apart in age. the middle kids are more like 9 months apart. then the youngest ones are 9 days apart. unlike me, denise is pregnant with their fourth! she'll do great; i just know it!

we had a good visit. i told her later in the day that it "did my heart good"... and it did...
