My kiddos played sweetly together for almost an hour this morning...then the rest of the day was chaos like usual.

Laney's turn for soccer

It's finally Laney's turn to play soccer!  She started Soccer Shots yesterday and had a blast.  She had a few friends there from school and seemed to enjoy the social side of the game a lot.  ☺

beautiful weather

Ron got away from work a little early and went to play golf the other day.  He's had some busy weeks at work, so it was a good break for him.   The kids and I decided to get out and enjoy the sunshine too.  Didn't get a pic of Sam because he's constantly on the move!  Wish I had that kind of energy...

After we got the kids tucked in bed, I set out to fold some clothes.  I got a good laugh when I looked up and found Ron to my left and Pickles to my right in very similar positions...

Family Fun

Last Saturday, I took the kids to the pet store for them to each pick out a new Beta fish.  I still don't know why I thought this was a good idea...  The new fish were given names.  Sam named his "Gilgram" because he knows of a super hero who has gills.  Luke named his "Super Fish" because his fish is awesome.  Laney named her fish "Laney Scooper" because I wouldn't let her name it "Poopy Scooper".  ☺

After rest time we went to dinner at Urban Cookhouse in Homewood then hopped over to Steel City Pops.  We had not been to Steel City before, but kept hearing how great it was.  They have "designer" popsicles, made fresh in their shop.

Everyone had one...and everyone had fun.

Then we went to the BJCC to watch the Mountain Brook Spartans play Huntsville's Sparkman High for the 6A basketball state championship.  We wore our Spartan Swag and made it through the whole game.  We left with about 3 minutes to go since Mtn. Brook was up by 20 points.

Luke really enjoyed it since he had just finished his first season of basketball.

Laney and Sam even found to snuggle!  I was amazed at how nice they were being to each other.

Laney's new cut

Laney wanted to get her hair cut short..."like Mommy" she said.

Here she is showing off her new hair and new swimsuit.

We had another cookout at #2...what we call B and Pops' fixer-upper.

The kids each picked a brick at the end of the driveway to decorate.

Luke's class went to Bud's Best Cookie Factory for a field trip.  They enjoyed the warm vanilla wafers while riding around in the train...
